Today, we welcome the decision of Nigeria's Federal Executive Council to sign the ratification of Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), this will make Nigeria the 32nd out of 54 member state to deposit their instrument of ratification.

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment gave the assurance that President Muhammadu Buhari will soon sign the ratification ahead of the December, 5, 2020 deadline.

African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is a free trade area which was created by the African Continental Free Trade Agreement among 54 of the 55 African Union nation with the major objective of creating a single market, aid movement of capital and people as well as facilitating investment in Africa with a population of 1.3 billion people.

By number of participating countries, AfCFTA is the biggest free trade area in the world, opening opportunities for massive connected supply chain network which will also boost economic activities in the continent.
